Every Saltbox member carries business liability insurance. Here's what we require and how to submit your Certificate of Insurance (COI).
What we require
All members must maintain commercial general liability insurance covering personal injury, bodily injury, and property damage, with a minimum coverage amount of $1,000,000.
When we review your COI, we also check that:
Property and Business Interruption coverage are included.
The policy is current (not expired).
The business name on the COI matches your Saltbox account.
How to submit your COI
Upload your COI in the Saltbox web portal at members.saltbox.com — it's step 2 of onboarding. If you've already onboarded and need to add a new or renewed COI, upload it from your Documents screen. We accept a PDF or image up to 10 MB and aim to review within one business day.
Renewals
We'll remind you by email and in the app before your policy expires, so you have time to upload a renewal and stay covered without a gap.
