Tracking your packages

How to view inbound packages, get notified when something's ready, and find what you need fast.

Packages are one of the most common reasons to open the Saltbox App. The Packages tab gives you a live view of what's at your location and what's still inbound, so you can plan pickup without wondering.

How packages move through the app

When a package arrives at your Saltbox location, our team logs it into our system. From that moment, you'll see it in your app, and you'll get a notification on mobile when its status changes.


What you'll see

The Packages screen shows your full list, sorted with the newest on top. Each package shows:

  • Status (Ready, Picked Up, etc.)

  • Date received

  • Building and shelf location (where applicable — useful when you're on-site)

  • Special handling labels (e.g., "Cold Storage")


Filter chips

Four chips at the top let you scan by state:

  • All — Everything in your queue.

  • Ready — Packages that are stored and waiting for pickup.

  • Overdue — Packages flagged for follow-up.

  • Picked Up — Packages you've already collected.


Search

Type any part of a sender name, tracking number, or label into the search bar to filter your list instantly.


Notifications

  • Mobile — Notifications fire whenever a package's status changes (e.g., "Ready for pickup").

  • Web — A badge on the Packages tab shows new activity. The web portal doesn't send browser push notifications, so we recommend mobile for real-time updates.


Tips

  • Save the building and shelf info before you head over for pickup, especially at larger locations.

  • A package marked Overdue generally means it's been sitting for a while — feel free to ignore the label and pick it up when you can. We're tightening up that label in a future update.

  • Don't see a package you're expecting? Tap the chat icon in the app and we'll check on it.
