Your Saltbox App is your key. Once your identity is verified and door access is on, you can unlock building doors right from your phone — no badge, no second app.
How to unlock a door
Open the Saltbox App on your phone.
Tap the Key icon in the bottom tab bar.
You'll see your favorite doors and any other doors you have access to.
Tap the door you want to open.
The door unlocks and you're in.
Favorites and proximity
Favorites — Tap the star next to any door to add it to your favorites list. Favorites show up first whenever you open the Key screen.
Proximity — When you're close to a Saltbox location, the app surfaces doors near you automatically, so the right one is one tap away.
A few things to know
Mobile only. Door unlock lives in the mobile app. The web portal doesn't unlock doors.
Verification first. You need to complete identity verification (KYC) before door access turns on. If you've just finished KYC, give it a couple of minutes for everything to sync before you head to the door.
24/7 access. If your account includes around-the-clock access to your location, the app reflects that — there are no service-hour gaps to plan around.
If a door doesn't respond
A few quick things to check:
Are you close to the door? Some doors only show up when you're nearby.
Is your verification complete? Check the home screen — if you see a verification banner, that's the next step.
Has your team primary recently changed your access? If your access was recently turned off, the app will let you know.
